Baby Olivia Goes Home

I was honored when this family asked me to document these special moments for them in celebrating Olivia’s short little life.  She was born with Trisomy 18 at a little over 2 pounds.  She underwent surgery a couple days after birth and came out well.  Days later she started to decline and the family was asked to come up to the hospital to say their goodbyes.  This is never a phone call anyone wants to get in the middle of the night and the strength this family exudes is inspiring. Through much anguish I was there just moments after she went to be with Jesus.

Thank you for allowing us to meet your daughter and many prayers as the days pass.  I’ve never been more heartbroken for a big sister who showed so much joy and affection and isn’t able to take her baby sister home.  Sweet Olivia I look forward to the day I get to snuggle you again. <3
