You deserve to be informed, educated, supported, and empowered.

Doulas are proven to decrease…

*length of labor by 25%
*c-sections by 50%
*epidural use by 60%
*pitocin use by 40%

I like to put my money/effort where the numbers are and these numbers are proven with more positive birth experiences compared to women without a doula. Women supporting women has happened since the beginning of time. Doulas are not to replace your birth partner, rather, support you both and show him how to best support you (and give breaks when needed). Doulas are your biggest advocate and what pain medication/interventions you choose we will support. Your doula doesn’t speak for you but helps you speak up for yourself. You should be able to trust this person, be encouraged by this person, while also recognizing you’re the paying client and can say “no thanks”. I love the working relationships I have with my clients - it’s the most rewarding work I do!

*Doula services are $1,000 including a childbirth class, prenatal support, labor support, and a postpartum visit along with a few “fresh 48” photos.

*Doula services added onto birth photography packages are $500 including the above mentioned.

Childbirth Class

This is where is begins - education. During this 4 hour class you’ll leave with everything you need to know regarding pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum and basic breastfeeding. A notebook and birth goodie bag are included along with the start to help you make your birth wishes plan.

Prenatal Support

I will attend an optional prenatal appointment either at your OB office or with your midwife around 38 weeks. I’m a phone call, facetime, or text away. We will chat more frequently as d-day gets closer. When you go into labor we’ll make the decision, together, when you should head to your birthing place.

Labor + Postpartum Support

I’m with you physically from early/active labor - once things “get going” until about an hour postpartum. Then, I will follow-up ~ 24/48 hours with a visit. I can help you nurse, we’ll process your birth, and I’ll bring my big camera to snap a few of photos!

I’ve been ICEA doula certified since November 2019. I’ve attended over 200 births and have taught childbirth classes for over a year. Personally, I’ve experienced it all - a hospital/epidural birth, home/water birth, twin/surrogate/c-section birth, and a hospital/unmedicated/VBAC. I’m thrilled to support you in whatever form your birth happens.
